Welders

Opportunities for a welder to  work for a large multi-disciplinary heavy engineering and construction provider to the Energy, Resources, Infrastructure, Marine and Defence sectors based locally in Henderson. Day shift– 10 hours days– Immediate Start - On-going long term work.


About The Role:

• Structural steel welding
• Local work in Henderson workshop.
• Immediate start.
• Long-term, Ongoing work.
• Monday - Friday working 10 hour days, weekend work available if you want it!
• Work up to 50-60 hours week.
• Dayshift and Night shift available
• Pay rate between $45 - $55 per hour.

  
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Undertake and pass all necessary weld qualifications in required weld processes.
• Perform the welding of steel components in all positions.
• Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and pre heat in accordance with applicable weld procedures.
• Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG, SAW
• Weld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components.
• Remove tack welds, clean and restore weld preparations where required.

  
Skills & Experience:-

• Australian recognised Welding Certificate
• Workshop welding experience
• Gantry crane competency
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
• Current Driver’s License and Reliable transport.
• Current resume with two contactable work references.
