Trade Assistants

Trojan Recruitment Group are currently seeking experienced Trade Assistants to work in engineering workshop in Naval Base.

 About the Role:

• Working in an engineering workshop environment in Naval Base
• Rotating shift pattern

Shift Pattern is as follows:

1. 8 days x 12 hours – Mon to Mon, 2 days off (Tues and Wed) then;
2. 7 nights x 12 hours – Thurs to Wed, 4 days off (Thurs – Sun, weekend off) then back on days
3. This shift pattern is on a three-month cycle meaning you will be on this pattern for 3 months then have 3 months on regular day shift then back on the shift pattern. (Unless you want to remain on the rotating shift pattern permanently).

• Pay rates – Day shift $38 per/hr flat, Night Shift $47.50per/hr flat.
• Main task is Chute Lining – prepping and cutting ceramic tiles.
• Chute stripping, studding, general TA duties assisting boilys.
• Using Grinders and other workshop tools – Bandsaw, drills, hammers, and other workshop tools.
• Casual Ongoing roles for an immediate start – potential to go perm.

  
Key Requirements:

• Experience in similar role, working in a engineering Workshop or Mining fixed plant shutdown experience.
• HRWL – LF (preferable).
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical which includes a D&A test.
• Current Driver’s License and Reliable transport.
