Primary Duties
  • Ensure compliance of products to specification, QFS standards and regulations
  • Drive implementation, procedures and continuous improvement of QFS standards
  • Participate to and deliver road map implementation of QFS objectives
  • Implement, manage and improve Quality assurance, food safety and systems with regards to QFS 
  • Manage onsite approved arrangement system to ensure compliance to biosecurity regulation
  • Answer to customer complaints - providing corrective and preventative actions
  • Setting up and managing QFS department budget
  • Ensure management of QFS training to all employees
  • Manage process of all internal audits, client audits, complaints and provide technical assistance as required
  • Assist production with monitoring , improvement and conformance to ensure quality standards are being met 
  • Implement, manage and improve management systems as required to include audits, training and reporting. 
Competencies
  • Tertiary qualifications in food safety / food tech/ food science is essential.    
  • Qualified internal Auditor for quality and food safety.
  • Quality management - minimum 3 years experience in a practical quality based role in food manufacturing
Key Skills / Knowledge
  • Experience with food preferable HACCP.
  • Management experience preferred but not essential
  • internal and external auditing
  • Quality Management standards and tools exp - GMP's 5S etc
  • Problem solving skills
  • Food process engineering, manufacturing equip and controls
  • Food microbiology, analytical chemistry and sensory methods
