Requirements for the Ideal Candidate:
  • Recognised National units of competence that align to this position
  • Proven work history as a Terminal Operator with relevant qualifications
  • Flexible to work over a 24/7 roster and cover sick leave
  • Current LF forklift ticket
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current 'CN' Reach Stacker License, with proven operational experience
  • Current Slewing Mobile Crane Licence - CO, C1, C2 or C6.
  • Possess a current Class HR motor vehicle driver’s licence with no restrictions
  • Ability to pass all required pre-employment recruitment testing, inclusive of CAT 1 Rail Medical Assessments plus any site-specific tests/inductions
  • Have a high commitment to your own safety and the health and safety of others
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in close communication with Depot Management and Operations Staff
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely and efficiently handle the loading and unloading of goods from rail rolling stock, employing proper handling methods, and adhering to procedural processes
  • Ensure customer (internal and external) service time frames and service levels are being met
  • Perform routine pre-start inspections on Reach Stackers, equipment and refer any defects or needed repairs to the Depot Supervisor
  • Operate all equipment and machinery within the approved speed limits and safe operating procedures
  • Complete all documentation accurately as directed
