Powder Coater

Trojan Recruitment Group is currently looking for a Powder Coater to work in the South Eastern suburbs. Our client is a leading manufacturer that works with aluminium, who are currently looking for an experienced Manual System Powder Coater.

Description

• Prepare parts and organise jobs prior to coating
• Determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspections or by using viscometers
• Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash and pre treatments
• Loading and unloading jobs onto the powder coater line 
• Powder coating of steel and aluminium products using a manual system spray booth
• Curing of powder coated products using industrial oven
• Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment

Skills and Experience:

• Must have 2 + years’ experience as a Manual System Powder Coater
• Experience on a manual powder coating line is essential
• Experience in operating a powder coat spray booth, powder coat handgun and powder coat ovens is essential
• Must have full working rights
• Must be happy to also work some weekends when required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A strong safety focus
