Maintenance/Mechanical Fitter - Minto

Trojan Recruitment Group is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance/Mechanical Fitter to join our client located at Minto. Our client is a manufacturer and supplier of road safety barrier systems throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
  
About the Role:

• Inspecting, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment – including press tools, conveyors, gearboxes, both hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Dismantling, reassembling and adjustment machinery components to ensure optimal performance.
• Fabricate and modify parts using lathes, milling machines, grinders and welding equipment (if applicable).
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including parts used and time taken.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), PPE compliance and hazard reporting.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery
• Response promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimise production delays.
  

Key Requirements:

• Trade Certificate – Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
• Experience in the Industrial maintenance or similar.
• Technical Skills – proficiency in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatic and precision tools.
• Ability to diagnose faults and implement effect repairs.
• Strong knowledge of WHS standards.
• Physically fit and able to work in confirmed spaces.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Welding/fabrication experience (preferred)
• Experience with Maintenance Management Systems (preferred)
