Maintenance Fitter- Western Suburbs of Brisbane

Based in Wacol, our client is a subsidiary to the world's largest tyre and rubber company.  Their tyres are renowned for long life and outstanding performance and specifically designed to endure the harshest conditions. 

• Day Shift 7:00am - 3:30pm
• $41.18 p/h
• Ongoing, Monday to Friday + OT 

Right now they are looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join their team 

About the role:

• Identify faults and perform repairs to minimise downtime
• Inspect, test and maintain machinery and equipment 
• Perform general preventative maintenance work and condition assessments
• Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all company workplace health and safety guidelines 
• Provide feedback on mechanical maintenance issues

Skills and Experience Needed:

• Trade qualification in Fitting, Turning and Machining is essential 
• Pneumatics and Hydraulics experience is desirable 
• At least 1 year experience as a trade qualified fitter preferred 
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team 
• General understanding of production planning and manufacturing practices
• Able to identify maintenance issues and provide accurate solutions 
• Strong problem solving, analytical skills
• Experience with repair and maintenance of various machinery & equipment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
