Locomotive Driver Trainer - Qld

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Rail Operations Driver Trainers to work on a casual basis with a Registered Training Organisation delivering nationally recognised training across Queensland.

This role is ideal for experienced or recently retired rail professionals who want to remain active in the industry while enjoying flexible working arrangements. You will contribute to developing competent, safety focused rail workers through structured training and assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver rail operations training in line with approved training and assessment strategies
• Facilitate both practical and classroom based learning
• Conduct competency based assessments in accordance with national standards
• Provide coaching, guidance and support to learners
• Maintain accurate training and assessment records
• Provide feedback to the RTO on learner progress and outcomes

About You, you will have:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or TAE40122
• Certificate IV in Train Driving TLI42622 or equivalent
• Queensland rail safeworking knowledge and experience
• Valid National Police Check with no court outcomes
• Extensive experience as a qualified Rail Operations Driver
• Ability to meet Category 1 Rail Medical requirements
• Strong understanding of rail safety standards and compliance
• Clear communication and presentation skills
• A strong commitment to safety and quality training
• Availability to work on a casual and ad hoc basis
