Assembly Workers l Helidon

What does our client do?
Located in Helidon, our client produces and supplies explosives and blasting systems for the mining industry. As expected, safety is of the upmost importance and forms part of the expert training that will be provided on a day shift. Upon completion of training you will move to a fortnightly, 7 day rotating roster.

What are we looking for in a Production Operator?
Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment operating machinery is an advantage. However, if you have great hand-eye coordination, can work at a fast pace, and are safety conscious, then you maybe considered for this role.

• Demonstrate a positive and motivated work ethic 
• Attention to detail is a must with a high level of accuracy
• Be willing to learn and be trained for success
• Mechanical aptitude is an advantage
• Must be able to display a high level of dexterity
• Must be able to obtain an Explosives Licence including a high level Police Clearance
• Have a reliable car and current drivers licence.

About the role:

• This role will focus on running the EBS machine and associated work stations
• Set up and operate equipment in accordance with work instructions & procedures
• Loading coiled wire onto machinery
• Crimping of detonators onto wire assembly
• Packing assembled product in to boxes in required formats
• Quality & inspections and recording
• Perform basic mathematical equations and basic report writing
• Ensure all operations are performed to procedures and WHS and environmental requirement
