Packaging Process Operator

This is a great opportunity available for Packaging Process Workers who have previous & recent experience working on a fast paced environment. Our client is a leading beverage company. The suitable applicant will work in a team on a rotating shift pattern or Day work as required. The role will also require regular overtime (including weekends and public holidays). Key responsibilities Operation of highly automated packaging plant Problem solving - continuous improvement Cleaning of plant and equipment Quality control testing Data entry and data query Manual Handling To be successful in this role you will have: Experience in a fast-paced hands-on production environment. Certificate 3 in food processing or equivalent (IBD Foundation certificate in Brewing and Packaging) Have the ability to work in a team and under pressure Be committed, reliable with a demonstrated strong work ethic The successful applicant(s) will ideally have previous food industry experience, however, training can be provided to the right candidate(s). Assembly Worker

About the Client Our long term client, located in Helidon, are a WORLD leader in supplying explosives to the growing mining industry. We are currently seeking assembly workers for an immediate start. The role is casual with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidates. Comprehensive training will be provided for the first 3 months on the day shift, thereafter you will move on to the night shift, afternoon shift or begin on a 7 day roster. You must be flexible with these shift options. The Role Winding signal tube using semi automatic machinery Setting up of machinery for production Identify product, materials and equipment requirements for job(s) Operate equipment in accordance with work instructions & procedures Monitor equipment operating conditions Crimping of detonators onto signal tube Place plastic blocks onto detonator using semi automatic blocker machines Packing in to boxes in required formats Quality control inspections of product Perform basic mathematical equations and basic report writing Ensure all operations are performed to procedures, WHS and environmental requirement Keep equipment and work area in a clean, organised and safe condition Start up & shut down equipment in accordance with procedures Identify machine faults by addressing errors or problems as they arise. Requirements Experience in an assembly environment operating machinery an advantage Must have a high level of dedication to safe work practices Basic computer skills Demonstrate a positive and motivated work ethic Have a reliable car and drivers license MUST have a HIGH attention to detail as the role requires a HIGH level of accuracy Mechanical aptitude is an advantage Must be able to display a high level of dexterity Able to obtain a high level police clearance and explosives license. Benefits Above award hourly rate of $36.71 Opportunity to go from casual to permanent 84 hours per fortnight 12 hour rotating roster from 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am Ongoing and extensive training opportunities Extremely safe working environment.
