About the role
Requirements for the ideal candidate:

About the role
- Support and work alongside a small team of wagon maintainers.
- Liaise with various stakeholders including internal teams and external customers and providers
- Approximately 90/10 split between hands-on maintenance duties (both onsite and in the field) and administrative tasks such as safety protocols, ordering parts, and general administration
- Monday to Friday, dayshift hours.
- Occasional need to answer phone calls outside of regular hours from the lead wagon maintenance coordinator.
Requirements for the ideal candidate:
- Australian Driver’s License (no restrictions)
- Statement of Attainment of TLI units that align to job role for Host Employer:
- TLIF0020 – Safely Access the Rail Corridor
- TLIF0025 – Follow work health and safety proceduresTLID0020 – Shift materials using manual handling methods
- TLIF2010 – Apply Fatigue Management Strategies
- TLIB0012 – Maintain and use hand tools
- TLIB3118 – Apply Safeworking rules and regulations to rail functions
- HLTAID003 – Provide First AidTLIC4074 – Shunt couple and uncouple
- TLIE2007 – Use communication systems
- TLIB0012 – Maintain and use hand tools
- First aid certificate
- Perform inspections of rail wagons to identify any damage or malfunctions
- Repair or replace damaged components, such as brakes, couplings, and suspension systems
- Execute work priorities set out by the business in line with Wagon Maintenance Manual
- Handle complex work tasks, setting work priorities to meet business needs
- Maximise resource utilisation while achieving wagon availability and reliability targets.
- Ensure wagon maintenance is undertaken in accordance with the appropriate technical standard practices and procedures
