Service Technician

The Role

• Performing varied mechanical work involved in repair, maintenance and servicing of turf maintenance related equipment
• The repair of major systems such as diesel and gasoline fueled engines, hydrostatic transmissions or hydraulic systems
• Removing, repairing and replacing engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical, and other major components
• Locating electrical shorts, diagnosing cause and making necessary repairs in accordance with electrical wiring repair procedures,
• Undertaking parts ordering, invoicing work performed, gathering service information
• Responding to emergency repair requests of troublesome equipment

Requirements

• Experience in the maintenance of turf or construction equipment such as tractors, lawn mowers, or golf course equipment
• Ability to interpret engineering drawing, including parts breakdown drawings and simple electrical schematics
• Ability to determine mechanical defects which cause engine, transmission, hydraulic or electrical system component failure
• Polite and professional phone manner
• Heavy vehicle mechanic, Diesel fitter or Automotive Technician qualifications advantageous
• A valid Australian Motor Vehicle License
