About the Role:

As a Rail Maintenance Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in keeping rail operations safe and efficient. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing train inspections and safety checks
  • Supporting wagon maintenance
  • Safely operating tools, machinery and performing shunting tasks
  • Accurately maintaining records and reporting defects
  • Liaising with planners, supervisors, and contractors to ensure smooth wagon movements
  • Participating in toolbox talks and following all safety procedures
About You:
  • We’re looking for team members who are:
  • Committed to safety and working outdoors in all conditions
  • Willing to learn and take direction from experienced team members
  • Able to follow instructions and procedures in a safety-critical environment
  • Reliable, fit for shift work, and capable of working independently or in a team
Requirements:
  • Full C Class Driver Licence (or higher)
  • Basic computer and literacy skills
  • Ability to pass a Category 1 Rail Medical, fitness assessment, and ongoing drug/alcohol testing
  • Prepared to work away from home on rostered shifts
