- Verify daily production data and records to ensure compliance.
- Oversee NIR equipment to ensure all data and samples are current
- Maintain equipment and associate accessories / consumables
- Ensure QA lab samples are taken and sent to external lab for testing including export and also for calibration
- Enter and upload data and install new databases as required
- Assist with investigation and follow up of any non-conformances relating to quality
- Contribute to sensory evaluation, batch releases and ops recycling
- Verify and monitor periodic cleaning schedule
- Participate where necessary with QA required for qualification of new materials and industrial trials and projects
- Internal auditing duties - production records, HACCP and GMP
- Assist with document control of QMS / updates on instructions etc.
- Assist with mentoring staff in production to improve culture and drive change.
- Assist with ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 audit and system upgrades
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or similar. alternatively tenure / on the job training will also be considered
- Good knowledge of HACCP and GMP principles
- Previous experience in a QA role within a food manufacturing environment
- ability to collect and analyse data and document reports and offer suggestions for improvements
- Intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to train and mentor staff to improve quality culture
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
