Purchasing and Import Regulatory Officer

Primary Duties

• Setting up of purchase orders for raw materials , ingredients, imported finish goods and purchased items with suppliers/ vendors.
• Organise their logistics into the country and through to the facility as well as their compliance to Australia Biosecurity regulation.
• Set up PO's including transport and any other related vendors into the ERP system.
• Lodging of import permit applications for ingredients and finished products with DAFF and follow up obtainment of import permit. 
• Assist in processing any non - conformance's related to purchased goods to the Quality Food Safety dept.
• Ensure all documentation and information related to vendors are recorded and up to date in company vendor assurance platform Diva.
• Assist supply chain and purchasing manager in all aspects of contract management.

Competencies / experience required

• Previous experience in Customer Service / Purchasing / Imports.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing / raw materials is preferred. 
• Previous experience and diligent use of ERP system is important.
• Previous experience in Vendor management and negotiation.
• Sound knowledge of Excel, Word and email messaging software.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
