Maintenance Fitter

ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a leading food packaging manufacturer located in Geebung. This is an exciting opportunity to work independently yet be part of a larger team.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor your primary objectives will be:

• Set up, monitor, maintain and trouble shoot high speed FMCG production machines using safe work practices.
• Ensure all products are manufactured in accordance with relevant specifications and quality
• Monitor and reduce non-productive time and waste
• Ensure machines are clean and free of cross contamination
• Maintain a safe work environment

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with high speed packaging and printing machines plus knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Forklift and Restricted Electrical License is an advantage.
• Able to install equipment, machine, parts, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
• Repair all machines to original standards.
• Capable of organising, planning and prioritising work as required.
• Work independently and have practical ability with attention to detail.
• Able to follow instructions effectively and coordinate all activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, fire environment and pollution regulations.
