We are seeking an Experienced Locomotive Provisions Assistant looking to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. As a Locomotive Provisions Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with train operations, communicating & providing support to Train Crew working in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

About the Role
We are seeking an Experienced Locomotive Provisions Assistant looking to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. As a Locomotive Provisions Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with train operations, communicating & providing support to Train Crew working in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Train Preparation & Departure Readiness: Assist with locomotive and wagon pre-start checks, brake testing, and provisioning tasks (e.g. fuel, water, supplies).
- Securing Trains: Ensure rolling stock is correctly braked and secured as per network standards.
- Train Crew Assistance: Provide support to Locomotive Drivers including radio communication, signal relay, and movement direction.
- Rail Safety Practices: Strict adherence to safeworking rules, corridor access procedures, and network-specific protocols.
- Inspections: Support routine inspections of wagons and locomotives to identify visible issues.
- Equipment Care: Maintain cleanliness and serviceability of radios, torches, safety gear, and tools.
- Rail CAT 1 Medical Clearance (including musculoskeletal test)
- Australian Full Driver’s License (no restrictions)
- Relevant Rail TLI Unit Statements of Attainment aligned with the role
- Valid National Police Clearance (with no court outcomes)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- First Aid Certificate
- Forklift Ticket
