Leading Hand Packaging

About the Job:

• This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for supervision of 3 to 4 different areas and up to 20 staff. This includes staff training, rostering and assigning duties.
• You will organise packaging set up ready for production in order to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards, and achieve deadlines.
• You will need to gain a solid understanding of relevant packaging equipment, so you can perform basic maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting.
• Managing stock movement, records and documentation is a key part of this job.
• Maintaining staff adherence to hygiene, food safety and WH&S guidelines, policies and procedures will be critical.
• Hours are Monday – Friday 6.30am to 2.30pm

 To be successful, you will need;

• Skills and experience working in a similar role in meat processing/ food manufacturing environment.
• A strong understanding of process from production to distribution.
• A hands-on approach including leading by example and a positive attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
• Confidence as a leader and the ability to inspire and engage.
