About the company

Our client is one of the largest joinery companies in NSW. They specialise in high-end commercial and residential fit-outs, typically valued between $25,000 to over $4M, and in the manufacturing of bespoke joinery. 
Our client offers a great work environment, excellent internal systems, and the latest technology. The Estimating team is headed up by the Senior Estimator who brings over 30 years’ experience in the field.

Duties

• Managing and delivering detailed tenders and proposals
• Liaising with stakeholders, including clients, designers, architects
• Sourcing quotes and negotiating pricing with contractors and suppliers
• Following up on current tenders and liaising with clients on current & future tender prospects
• Assisting the production team as required

Skills and expertise

The ideal candidate will hold a current driver’s license and:

• Relevant trade qualifications in Joinery, Cabinetmaking or Shopfitting is essential
• A minimum of 5 years’ previous experience as an Estimator
• Computer literacy - advanced excel skills a must
• Keen eye for detail and numbers
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Excellent time management & organisational skills
• Ability to think outside the square
