Industrial Painter Blasters

Trojan Recruitment Group are currently seeking experienced Industrial Painter Blasters for an immediate start. These roles are for a Navy Defence maintenance contract in Henderson.


About the Role:

• Industrial Painting & Blasting working on Navy Vessels
• Local Henderson Based work.
• Pay rates $46per/hr+ penalties.
• 06:30am start with plenty of OT available. Weekend work available also!!
• On-going long-term work.

  
Some of your duties will include:

• Preparing surfaces by removing old paint, filing holes and cracks, smoothing and sealing surfaces.
• Selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives.
• Applying paints, using brushes, rollers and spray guns.
• Grinding, sanding and surfaces of items to be painted.
• Loading paint and mixing paint into spray equipment.
• Setup of abrasive blast equipment for operations.
• Perform other general duties as required.

Key Requirements:

• Trade Certificate or extensive experience demonstrated in a similar role.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial painting and blasting.
• White Card.
• Confined Space, EWP and Working at Heights tickets (desirable).
• Driver’s licence.
• Ability to pass a fit for work pre-employment medical including regular drug & alcohol tests.
