Job description
We’re seeking a Assistant Accountant for an 8-month full-time temp role for our client in MASCOT, with the potential to become permanent. You’ll support the Finance Team across accounts payable, staff expenses, and fixed assets, working closely with the Fiji Shared Services team. Most transactional tasks are completed by Shared Services, so this role focuses on monitoring, guidance, and reconciliation.
Shift time: 9am - 5pm
Rate: $45

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee AP approval matrices (Concur, Getlean, Basware).
- Monitor state cheques, AP transitory accounts, and raise manual payments/invoices.
- Respond to AP and expense queries; maintain staff expense policy.
- Reconcile Forklift LEAP contracts and prepare monthly GST & DSO reports.
- Administer AMEX/CITI corporate cards and travel accruals.
- Ensure accurate fixed asset tracking, stocktake, and disposals.
- Clear DAFF invoices and liaise with Customs and Billing teams.
- Support ad-hoc finance analysis and internal control testing (CRISP).
- Experience in accounting support or AP roles.
- Familiarity with finance systems (e.g., Concur, Basware).
- Strong Excel and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with remote teams.
