Trade Assistant / Yard Hand

About the Role:

• Working in an engineering workshop environment.
• Positions available in Naval Base and Henderson workshops – Day and Night shifts.
• Dayshift $35 to $36.04 p/hr flat.
• Nightshift $46.50 to $48.17 p/hr flat.
• Some yard hand duties - involving material control, dispatching and receivables of goods and stocktaking. 
• Assisting boilermaker welders.
• Grinding steel using 5&9 Inch grinder.
• Using Bandsaw and other workshop tools.
• Operating overhead crane and Forklift.
• Casual Ongoing roles for an immediate start.
• 10 hours shifts Monday to Friday + 6 hours on Saturdays – up to 60 hours a week.

Key Requirements:

• Experience in similar role, working in a engineering Workshop environment.
• MUST have High Risk Work Licence – LF.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical which includes a D&A test.
• Current Driver’s License and Reliable transport.
