About the client
Our client provides permanent and temporary high quality elevators, construction hoists and work platforms built on rack and pinion and traction technologies, they have pioneered the vertical access industry. 

Currently we are seeking an experienced Business Development/Sales Representative for a permanent opportunity based in Brisbane. The purpose of this role is to increase revenue and profitability in Queensland, Western Australia and Northern Territory. 

Key tasks will include but is not limited to:
  • Collaborate with Division Manager Construction to develop the sales strategy ensuring this is in line with Regional strategy and Group strategy
  • Accountable for revenue delivery for the full product range.
  • Responsible for Account Management of existing customer base ensuring repeat business and ongoing service sales
  • Accountable for keeping close relationships with the market place in terms of key accounts, business situation and competitor’s activities
  • Responsible for delivering customer feedback to factory for continuous improvement discussions
  • Report monthly on lag KPI’s (what happened) and lead KPI’s (what will happen)
  • Submission of 6-month Order Intake forecasts, providing variance analysis
  • Accountable for writing business which is within all financial guidelines of the organisation
  • Accountable for increasing revenue and profitability into the Rental and Construction market in Queensland, Western Australia and Northern Territory.
Qualifications skills:
  • Minimum 5 years experience preferred
  • Evidence of sales track record in an engineering product line
  • Demonstrable consultative sales experience
  • Evidence of selling in the Construction industry
  • Experience in selling customised capital goods
  • Experience with international organisation, multiple regions and multiple product lines
  • Experience of selling in in a safety and quality culture
  • Experienced in operating at management level within a medium sized global organisation
  • Relevant Engineering or Marketing Degree or equivalent experience of 5 years or more preferred
  • Experience of contract negotiation, risk identification, risk mitigation and risk management.
