About the Role

This is a role that requires a responsible and accountable individual who will efficiently and safely undertake all forklift, shunting activities. 
To be successful you must be a team player who put safety first, thinks ahead and enjoys a challenge. 

Do you have?
  • Heavy forklift licence
  • CV High Risk Licence 
  • Full Driver's licence
  • General computer proficiency is required
  • Experience in train inspection, ground shunt and track side safety preferred
  • Previous experience in logistics, transport or the rail industry is preferred

Key responsibilities
  • Load and unload goods from rail rolling stock using correct handling methods and following procedural processes in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure customer (internal and external) service time frames and service levels are being met.
  • Perform routine pre- start inspections on Reach Stacker and equipment and refer any defects or needed repairs to the Depot Supervisor.
  • Operate Reach Stacker within the approved speed limits and exercise safe operating procedures.
  • Complete all documentation accurately as directed.
  • Have a high commitment to your own safety and the health and safety of others.
  • Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in close communication with Depot Management and Operations Staff.
  • Hold a current 'CN' Reach Stacker License, with proven operational experience.
  • Possess a current Class C motor vehicle driver’s licence with no restrictions.
  • The ability to pass all required pre-employment recruitment testing, inclusive of CAT 1 Rail Medical Assessments plus any site-specific tests/inductions.
