Fantastic opportunity for Experienced Locomotive Drivers & Driver Assistants to join a leading Rail company based at Parkes-Dubbo.

About the role 
Due to growth in the industry, we have an exciting opportunity for Qualified Locomotive Drivers and Driver Assistants to join a leading Rail company based in Parkes, NSW. 
The role is to operate locomotives and provide operational support to ensure the safe and efficient working of locomotives. 
  • Operation of locomotives including mainline, shunting and yard operations 
  • Examine and certify trains ready for departure  
  • Work in accordance with our customers safety and operational standards and procedures 
  • Apply best practice train management techniques to ensure efficient and safe train operations. 
  • Contribute to continuous performance improvement 
  • Provide excellent customer service.

About You 
This role will be suited to individuals who have a high level of safety leadership, are customer/results focused possess the following skills, 
  • Certificate IV in Rail Operations 
  • Proven work history in locomotive driving  
  • Able to pass all pre-employment checks including a category 1 Rail Medical, inclusive of ongoing Drug and Alcohol testing and physical assessments. 
  • Experience in NSW Safe working systems  
  • Must hold a current unrestricted class C driver’s licence 
  • Ability to work shift work 
  • A strong commitment to safety and Trojan rails values.
