Qualified Locomotive Driver Assistant

We are seeking applications from committed and team orientated individuals to undertake the following responsibilities:
 

• The primary objective of a Locomotive Driver Assistant is to assist the Locomotive Driver in the safe and efficient operation of Train services
• Prepare and inspect locomotive and wagons in accordance with operational procedures.
• Ensure vigilance is maintained, signal indications are observed, their meaning comprehended and the required behaviour is applied to meet operational standards.
• Ensure strict compliance to Network Safety rules and regulations

About you:

• Qualified Driver Assistant (Second Person)
• Experience in NSW Safeworking Systems
• Possess a current Class C motor vehicle driver’s licence
• Be able to work in a dynamic 24/7 shift work environment with flexibility and commitment
• Display a high regard for safety and demonstrate a positive attitude
• Willing to undertake ongoing training and development activities
• The ability to pass all required pre-employment recruitment testing, inclusive of CAT 1 Rail Medical Assessments plus any site-specific tests/inductions
