Project Manager ( 9 month fixed term contract)

Our client is closing / demobilising their manufacturing facility in Sydney's South West and requires a Project Manager who has experience with manufacturing sites, overseeing equipment relocation potentially to other states as well as supporting the set up of a new or reconfigured facility in Sydney's South West. 

Key responsibilities:

• Develop implement and manage detailed project plans, schedules and budgets
• Take ownership of the end to end PM function.
• Lead the orderly shutdown and demobilisation of the current site.
• Manages site closure including make good obligations
• Coordinate / manage relocation of plant, equipment and assets to other sites
•  Manage site contractors, ensuring compliant execution including WHS
• Coordinating cross functional teams (Ops, Engineering, IT &  Finance) 
• Monitoring risks, issues, timelines & updating stakeholders regularly 
• Supporting set up and commissioning of the new reconfigured facility
• Ensuring all project documentation, governance and compliance requirements are being adhered to
• Oversee decommissioning of plant, equipment and infrastructure                                                                                                    

Key requirements:

• 7 - 10 years project management experience 
• Proven delivery of projects from initiation to completion (ideally site closures, relocations or operational transitions)
• Strong stakeholder and contractor management capability 
• Operationally savvy with a hands on approach , ideally within the manufacturing / Industrial environment.
