Job description

Trojan Recruitment is seeking reliable Production Operators or Warehouse Assistants to join our client’s team. Based in the Newcastle area, our client specialises in the manufacturing of pet food. This site would ideally suit someone who comes from a food manufacturing background. However training can be provided! 

The successful candidate have a current forklift licence or be willing to obtain one! 
 
Rotating Roster - 12 hour shifts meaning extra shift penalties!
  
The key duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain Production levels as per schedule
  • Moving Products, both manually and with a forklift
  • Weighing, measuring, counting of raw materials 
  • Monitoring the supply and quality of products
  • Be committed, reliable with a demonstrated strong work ethic
  • Heavy lifting up to 25kg 
Essential Skills
  • Proven food handling experience in a fast-paced environment
  • HACCP or food-handling certificates (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A strong safety and quality focus
  • Forklift Licence is advantageous (1 year experience on Counterbalance) or must be willing to obtain - on the job training provided
  • Must be willing to undergo a Drug and Alcohol test
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work independently
  • Committed, reliable with a demonstrated strong work ethic
  • Physical fit and ability to work on your feet for a full shift.
