Mechanical Fitter

Our client specialises in the manufacturing of raw material and are seeking a reliable and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their Maintenance team.  
 
Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for trouble shooting, repair facility equipment in case of break down in person or with the support of external contractors
• Responsible to maintain facility equipment as per Maintenance preventive schedule
• Ensure site maintenance is completed whether maintenance topics are “basic” maintenance or need external contractors to complete jobs
• Update and maintain maintenance documentation, records, schedule
• Control spare parts stock and manage inventory and stock take
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers as required
• Responsible to ensure equipment and safe to be run after a break down
• Report any Safety damage to equipment that require urgent attention of management

Hours will be either 7:00am to 3:00pm or 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday with a call out being required as part of the role.

Key Expectations & Requirements:

• Fitting & Machining Trade certificate
• TIG Welding Certificate (preferred)
• Stainless welding experience
• Previous experience of 5 years min
• Previous experience in food manufacturing is preferred
• Electrical disconnect/reconnect ticket is preferred
• Current Forklift Licence
