Maintenance Electrician

The role: 

Our client is seeking a A class Electrician to assist with maintaining and maximising the manufacturing plant's  effectiveness and efficiency by carrying out preventative, scheduled and emergency tasks. Working collaboratively with the maintenance and engineering team, you will identify opportunities for factory improvements , downtime reduction, process improvements and data management , including robotics and digital scheduling systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure plant is maintained effectively and efficiently
• Provide technical advise and use problem solving skills in fault finding
• Carry out scheduled work in a timely manner 
• Attend emergency repairs including breakdowns on robots, conveyors and servo drives
• Enter data into computerised maintenance management system 
• develop, deliver and implement electrical solutions & improvements  
• Manage and investigate critical plant emergency incidents, complete plant failure / condition technical reports and efficiency assessments                                                                                                          

 Skills and Qualifications:

• Electrical Trade certification  - holding an A class license
• Knowledge of computer control systems,PLC (Siemens and Mitsubishi)
• Interpret drawings and have the ability to diagnose & rectify problems
• Skilled in AutoCAD for drawing updates
• Good understanding of CMMS (Mainpac) 
• Have proven knowledge of robotics ( ABB will be advantageous) 
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance techniques 
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety systems and pre -task plans
• Sound computer knowledge
• Understanding of WHS compliance
