Machine Operator - Flashing

We are currently seeking an experienced “Sheet metal machine operator “for a temp to perm opportunity based in Moorebank Sydney, to work at a reputable sheet metal and fabricating manufacturing company with a highly skilled team. Interviewing now! Start ASAP

Responsibility 1 – Flashing Manufacturing:
 

• Interpret flashing drawings, program the slitter folder and work with an offsider to produce the pre-cut flashings
• Fold flashings in the most efficient manner possible on either a press brake or slitter folder
• Organise the flashing jobs in the most efficient manner you see fit to meet deadlines, unless instructed otherwise
• Ensure flashings are accurate
• Ensure flashings are undamaged
• Assist with other fabrication work when flashings are complete, or as required by the Foreman or Operations Manager
• Support with the manufacturing of the detailed sheet metal components when required.

Responsibility 2 – Safety:

• Alert management immediately of serious safety hazards (faulty equipment, electrical/mechanical/hydraulic issues etc)
• Eliminate basic safety hazards as they arise (trip hazards, sharp edges etc)
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace at all times
• Notify management immediately of any pre-existing injuries that are incompatible with the duties you are asked to perform
• Adhere to all safety procedures, use PPE where needed, and ensure the offsider does the same
