Locomotive Driver Assistant

Fantastic opportunity for experienced Locomotive Driver Assistants to join a leading Rail company based in the Bowen, Coppabella and Mackay regions QLD.

Are you?

• A Qualified Driver Assistant (Second Person)
• Experienced in QLD safeworking Systems
• Possess a current Class C motor vehicle driver’s licence
• Able to work in a dynamic 24/7 shift work environment with flexibility and commitment
• Display a high regard for safety and demonstrate a positive attitude
• Willing to undertake ongoing training and development activities
• The ability to pass all required pre-employment recruitment testing, inclusive of CAT 1 Rail Medical Assessments plus any site-specific tests/inductions

About the position:

• Assist the Locomotive Driver in the safe and efficient operation of Train services
• Prepare and inspect locomotive and wagons in accordance with operational procedures.
• Ensure vigilance is maintained, signal indications are observed, their meaning comprehended and the required behaviour is applied to meet operational standards.
• Ensure strict compliance to Network Safety rules and regulations
