Trojan Recruitment Group have positions available for workshop Painter Blasters on day shift. You will be working for a large engineering company based at their state of the art manufacturing facility in Henderson.
About the Job:
- State of the art Paint Shed facility in Henderson.
- Work on a range of projects (defence, oil & gas, mining) within a local paint shed workshop environment.
- Day shift.
- 10/11 hour shifts Monday to Friday. Saturday available also if you want it.
- Pay Rate $50per/hr. flat!
- Immediate start, ongoing long-term work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering.
- Preparing surfaces by removing old paint, filing holes and cracks, smoothing and sealing surfaces.
- Selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives.
- Applying paints, using brushes, rollers and sprays.
- Grinding, sanding and surfaces of items to be painted.
- Loading paint and mixing paint into spray equipment.
- Connecting hoses to spray equipment and adjusting spray nozzles to required pressure.
- Securing items to be sprayed within spray booths.
- Directing spray guns to apply even coatings.
- Setup of abrasive blast equipment for operations.
- Perform other general duties as required.
Key Requirements:
- Airless & Conventional Spray Experience.
- Abrasive Blasting Experience.
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar role.
- Trade Certificate (preferred).
- Genuine desire for local ongoing work
- Current Driver’s License and reliable car.
- Ability to pass a regular DAS.
